Department of Interior
Architectural Woodwork Restoration, Metalwork on Staircase, Woodwork on Staircase
The project involved the restoration of architectural woodwork, doors, and wood & metal resotration on staircase for the Department of Interior. Paneling was carefully removed to accommodate new HVAC work and later reinstalled. Any new paneling required was replicated to align with the layout of the new HVAC system. In cases where historic paneling needed to be relocated due to past renovations, both existing and new paneling were removed and reinstalled to preserve the original historic design. Furthermore, old finishes were stripped off, and new stains and finishes were meticulously applied to enhance the overall aesthetic.
